Privacy Policy

Kit It Yourself. Effective [EFFECTIVE DATE].

Your credit report is some of the most private information you have. This policy says exactly what the Kit keeps, why, who helps us run it, and how to have it deleted.

The short version: we use your information only to run your Kit. We never sell it. We never use it for ads. We do not track you around the web.

What we collect

What you give us

  • Your email address, to sign you in and send you reminders
  • Your name and mailing address, to put on your letters
  • The credit report file you upload. It contains what the credit bureaus report about you: your accounts and balances, your name, addresses, date of birth, and part of your Social Security number as IdentityIQ prints it.
  • Your answers in the Kit, such as the accounts you chose to dispute, the date you mailed your letters and whether the bureaus wrote back

What the Kit makes for you

  • Your findings, dispute letters, envelope sheets and the comparison between your reports

What we never keep

  • Your full Social Security number and date of birth. When you print, you type them into your own screen and they are filled into the letters there. They are never sent to or saved on our servers.
  • The photos of your ID and your bill. They are added to your letters inside your own browser and stay on your device.
  • Your card number. Payments are handled by our payment processor. We see only that a payment went through, the amount and the last four digits.

Technical information

  • Our hosting company keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address and the pages requested, to keep the service running and secure.
  • When you sign in, a sign in token is saved in your browser so you stay signed in. We use no advertising cookies, analytics or tracking pixels.

How we use it

Only to:

  • read your report and build your kit
  • show your record and the comparison between rounds
  • send you sign in links, reminders and receipts
  • bill you, if you are on a paid plan
  • answer your questions
  • keep the service secure and prevent fraud

We do not sell your information, rent it, share it for anyone's marketing, or use it to show you ads.

Who helps us run the Kit

These companies process information for us, only to provide their service to us:

CompanyWhat they doWhat they handle

SupabaseEmail sign inYour email address
HighLevelWebsite, order forms, the free club and emailsYour name, email and billing status

We may also share information if the law requires it, such as a valid subpoena, or to protect someone's safety.

How we protect it

  • Everything travels over an encrypted connection.
  • Each member's files are kept separate from everyone else's, and we test that one member can never see another member's report.
  • Only the people who run the Kit can reach the servers, and only to support it.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is active so you can build each round and compare your reports. If you cancel and do not come back, we delete your reports, letters and kit files 12 months after your last sign in. We may keep billing records longer where tax or payment rules require it.

Your choices

  • Download: you can download your kit any time from your account.
  • Delete: email [email protected] from your account's email address and say "delete my data." We will delete your reports, letters, kit files and account within 30 days and email you when it is done, except billing records we must keep by law.
  • Correct: you can change your name or address when you upload your next report, or email us.

Depending on your state, you may have more rights over your information. Email us and we will honor them.

Children

The Kit is only for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date and email you about any important change before it applies.
